A score for every manoeuvre: TVM and Trailersync show how data helps prevent damage

On 5 November at ICT & Logistiek 2026, TVM and Trailersync will show how Safety Score makes manoeuvring risks visible, with a pilot at I&L Logistiek and an exclusive exhibition offer for participants.

Goirle, 2 November 2026 — Nearly 70 percent of truck damage occurs during reversing and parking, according to figures from sources including TVM verzekeringen cited in the press release. Yet most transport operators do not know where and why things go wrong. In operations involving frequent manoeuvring, a vehicle combination may have several reported damage incidents each year, while near misses remain unseen. At ICT & Logistiek, TVM and Trailersync will show how that can change.

From a handful of damage reports to thousands of data points

The session focuses on Safety Score, a new Trailersync technology (patent pending). The system automatically gives every truck-trailer manoeuvre a safety score from 0 to 100. According to the press release, this takes operators from a handful of damage reports to 10,000 safety performance data points per trailer over three years. A map highlights the highest-risk locations, while insights per driver and vehicle help identify where coaching can have the greatest impact.

Safety Score builds on Trailersync Sense®, winner of the iF Design Award 2026. The connected manoeuvring assistance system automatically detects damage and goes beyond warning the driver. Operators using Trailersync Sense® today will have the option to upgrade their Trailersync environment with Safety Score in the future.

Pilot at I&L; Logistiek

A field pilot has been running since September at refrigerated courier I&L; Logistiek, independently monitored by TVM. During the session, Marius van der Valk, senior prevention and risk management adviser at TVM, and Max de Feber, founder of Trailersync, will share the expected insights.

We already know exactly when and where damage occurred. But we have no visibility of near misses. Making these visible allows us to assess risks at the identified locations proactively. We can also identify the highest-risk journeys so that experienced drivers can be assigned to help prevent risks and damage. Safety Score fits precisely with that approach: prevention through data.

— Marius van der Valk, TVM; translated from the Dutch press release

We see this as a promising solution with a clear preventive effect on damage. The dashboard shows the locations where our drivers face increased risks. That is valuable input for our customers, for example when improving loading and unloading locations.
